There are several reasons your water heater may not be performing properly. In many homes, the water heater is simply not sized correctly for the household’s hot water needs. In other cases, the heating elements or burner may be worn out and in need of repair. Deteriorating insulation inside the tank can also reduce efficiency and cause your water heater to struggle.

This is a common issue. Many homeowners assume the problem is the showerhead, but it usually isn’t. We hear this concern often, and in most cases the real issue is a worn or failing shower cartridge. This a something we call a potential slab leak or leak outside your home. You may have higher than normal water usage on your utility bills, or your water heater is constantly running. The best thing to do is get a plumbing professional out to your home to diagnose the issue and stop the leak.
All homes should have a properly functioning home shut off valve that is visible and easy to access. Usually outside by your home where the water enters from the water meter or well. But if you can't find yours, we would highly highly recommend that you get a professional plumbing company out to install or locate your homes water shut off. Because you never want to be in a situation where you cannot turn your water off in an emergency.
Most of the time the cause is the aerator. We recommend that you add this to your yearly maintenance. Removing to clean every 3 months to keep debris from building up.
